JOB SUMMARY
The Integrated Corporate Services (ICS) is a new shared corporate service, launched in July 2023. It provides corporate services (HR, Finance, Digital, Commercial, Security and Estates) across the Department for Energy Security & Net Zero (DESNZ) and the Department for Science, Innovation & Technology (DSIT).

JOB DESCRIPTION
You will be part of the BICC (Business Insight Competency Centre) Finance Systems team. We use digital platforms to serve finance customers. This is a great role to gain exposure to two corporate services functions.
Our customers use our systems to create a single source of truth for financial data. We currently support the following departments and their partner organisations:
- The Department for Science, Innovation and Technology,
- The Department for Energy Security Net Zero and
- The Department for Business and Trade.
They use this data to inform decision making. They also use it to report on their performance to the Treasury, Parliament and the public.
There are two sub-teams in Finance Systems team.
You will support new ways of working in the Business Partnering Team. This team handles building and managing relationships with all BICC stakeholders. The team also understand their needs and communicate them within BICC.
You will collaborate with the BICC Technical Team.
This is an exciting new role in the context of our expanding shared service. We will be working in new ways and you will help shape that.

Responsibilities:
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
As the stakeholder support officer, you will have strong people skills. You will have a good understanding of the business and their finance system needs. You will communicate information between the business and the BICC Finance System Team. You will keep strong relationships with all finance teams supported by BICC.
Successful candidate will:
- Develop an understanding of systems end-to end processes to support finance systems’ users.
- Promote effective working relationships with finance system users
- Manage planned and ad-hoc communications with stakeholders as needed.
- Engage with stakeholders to provide support and identity opportunities for improvements
- Manage finance systems implementation such as user requirement setting, user acceptance testing.
- Assist the BICC technical team with internal testing where needed
- Promote controls to keep data quality and the integrity of BICC-managed finance systems.
- Oversee the maintenance of users’ accounts and permissions
- Ensure that changes to the Universal Chart of Accounts meet agreed business rules
- Help with the development and design of training materials
- Provide tailored training to users so that they make the best use of our systems.
- Introduce innovative and efficient ways for working.
