Senior Engineer Service Architect in the Industry Standards department will participate in and contribute to the development of industry technical standards, assist with Rogers regulatory activities, interact with other departments within Rogers to provide technical guidance on industry standards and technology trends, and work with industry partners and competitors outside of Rogers in trade associations and other organizations.
This position will focus mainly on the Architecting of Services and Radio Spectrum assets of 5G and future 6G wireless networks, but the position has a broad scope and will also involve the Core Network, Security, and Devices aspects of networks.
Responsibilities:
- Research, analyse, and evaluate current and emerging or disruptive services and technology defined in industry technical standards, regulations, and guidelines with their impacts to Rogers current and future business
- Participate in standards development organizations, trade associations, and regulatory bodies, and work with industry partners and competitors within those groups
- Contribute to industry technical standards, guidelines, and regulations to protect and further Roger’s business interests
- Assist Rogers Regulatory department when interacting with Canadian regulators
- Assist other departments within Rogers (Information Technology, Technology Development, Strategy, Innovation, and Business Units) by providing information and analyses of industry standards and guidelines
