Description:

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:

  • Bachelor’s degree in business administration or related discipline, or an equivalent combination of technical education, training, and experience.
  • Three years of related, progressively responsible experience.
  • Prior experience in program delivery, marketing, and event planning and/or services marketing are preferred.
  • Previous experience in managing logistics and event planning.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

  • Frequently perform desk-based computer tasks, grasp lightly/fine manipulation, lift/carry/push/pull objects that weigh up to 10 pounds.
  • Occasionally stand/walk, sit, use a telephone, writing by hand, and sort/file paperwork or parts.
  • Rarely twist/bend/stoop/squat, kneel/crawl, rarely reach/work above shoulders, operate foot and/or hand controls.

Responsibilities:

Program Administration

  • Perform duties associated with scheduling, organizing, and operating events.
  • Recommend vendors for services, serve as liaison with internal and external vendors, and coordinate logistics.
  • Analyze program participation and customer feedback to recommend new approaches and improvements.
  • Draft meeting minutes and initiate meeting follow-up tasks in an effort to maintain workflow.
  • Plan and schedule calendar(s), coordinate appointments, meetings, and conference calls.
  • Perform administrative duties associated with finance and accounting.

Outreach and Customer Service

  • Serve as a point of contact for Stanford Research Park programs.
  • Staff on-site meetings, workshops, and events to ensure the highest level of customer service, including providing prompt problem resolution.
  • Organize and staff off-site community events, including those on evenings and weekends.

Marketing and Communications

  • Draft program communications.
  • Oversee design, production and distribution of promotional items and signage.
  • Photograph events for use on website and social media.

Vendor Coordination

  • Identify qualified vendors to support new programs.
  • Coordinate vendors on specific projects and track vendor progress.
  • This position requires regular interaction with representatives from tenant companies, individual employees, and service providers.
  • Other duties may also be assigned
