JOB DESCRIPTION

Works with Alliance Business Banking partners to establish strong relationships for their own business banking needs as well as helping to educate and create advocates in these partners to promote and sell our banking products to their customers. Adheres to code of ethics, establishes strong internal relationships, and collaborates well across business lines and teams to help reach common objectives. Meets and exceeds goals, is a positive example to others, and demonstrates strong ability to navigate highly technical situations with confidence.
Innovates and promotes a change culture that enhances our customer experience by involving leadership when necessary and adhering to established procedures for escalating and problem solving. Takes ownership of customer issues and works well with others to help resolve them.
Actively deepens existing customer relationships through routine calling activity and develops new Business Banking relationship opportunities through business development activities. Responsibilities include originating scored credit requests up to $250,000 (with Equipment Finance lending up to $500,000) and selling products/services such as business deposit products, treasury management products, business credit cards and payment solutions, as well as all other suitable solutions as appropriate. This job may require outside prospecting and sales to meet or exceed the sales production goals. Appropriately handles Business Banking customer service issues in assigned portfolio. Actively manages relationships with branch and business line partners and refers clients to Business Banking partners and/or other U.S. Bancorp areas for additional needs.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Typically six or more years of clerical experience

PREFERRED SKILLS/EXPERIENCE

  • Bachelor’s degree, or equivalent work experience desired
  • Three to five years of financial service sales experience desired
  • Thorough understanding of bank products, sales, and new business development
  • Comprehensive knowledge of applicable bank and branch operations, policies, procedures and support systems
  • Experience working with lending products, cafe for deposit products, risk management, etc.
  • Experience understanding business financials including analyzing credit and managing a pipeline
  • Demonstrated written and verbal communication skills and demeanor necessary to perform relationship management and sales duties
  • Strong customer service and community relations skills
  • Demonstrated ability to make one-on-one and group presentations
    This role is hybrid. Team members who are in a hybrid role typically spend three days a week at the listed U.S. Bank location(s), while having flexibility on their work location for the other working days.
