Responsibilities:

  • Contribute to the development and maintenance of State Extreme Weather Hazard Risk Reduction Plan/s, and emergency response plans, at the state and catchment levels, in partnership with internal and external stakeholders
  • Develop and maintain productive relationships with the Flood Hazard Leader (Dept. of Environment and Water), local councils and other key agency partners
  • Develop and/or contribute to other Control Agency plans in collaboration with relevant stakeholders
  • Provide evidence and data-driven advice that contributes to hazard risk reduction for extreme weather in South Australia and capability development within the agency
  • Contribute to and provide advice for the assessment of, and response to, policy matters that affect SASES.
  • Exercise plans with SES and relevant stakeholders
  • Contribute to public education and awareness in relation to flood and extreme weather
