Description:

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

  • High School Diploma or GED; Bachelors Degree preferred
  • Must self-identify as a current or former consumer of mental health services or at least 2 years of relevant experience; and
  • Must demonstrate a minimum of 6 months in self-directed recovery within the last year; and
  • Successful completion of peer support training and Behavioral Services of Louisiana Required Trainings
  • Complete Required Stated Trainings and Train the Trainer trainings

Responsibilities:

  • Provide onboarding training to Support Specialist (SS)
  • Provide mentorship, development and ongoing training to Support Specialist as needed
  • Develop and implement staff training and education modules for monthly staff meetings as directed
  • Perform Quality Assurance task as assigned
  • Provide caseload, scheduling and time management development to Support Specialist staff
  • Ensure that Support Specialist are producing effective documentation of all meetings with families by collaborating with regional supervisors on note writing and EHR training and development
  • Maintain open communication with the Wraparound Agencies and collaborate on joint training opportunities
  • Ensure that treatment goals and interventions from the Plan of Care are being correctly implemented by Support Specialist through coaching and training on various peer-based interventions
  • Marketing and Community Outreach to assist Support Specialist with maintaining up-to-date information on community resources
  • Develop and maintain a resource data base of peer-based strategies and interventions for Support Specialists
  • Be able, or willing to learn, to use computer interface to complete documentation for billing or other purposes as needed.
  • Return phone calls promptly
  • Other duties as assigned
