Supporting the key stakeholders within the Marex infrastructure, such as but not limited to, Trading, Sales, COO and Operations team, you will play a key role in helping to build and maintain the static data of key risk management systems, which houses a range of cross-asset products.

SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Data Science, Business, or a related field.
  • A minimum of 2 years’ of experience* in data management or operations/middle office, preferably in a financial services or investment banking environment.
  • Strong understanding of financial products and instruments (equities, fixed income, derivatives, commodities).
  • Experience with data management platforms (Bloomberg, Reuters, etc.) is an advantage.
  • Advanced skills in Excel; familiarity with SQL or Python is a plus.

As a Static Data Specialist, you will be at the heart of our operations, managing and maintaining essential reference data that powers trading, settlements, and risk management functions. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams including Trading, Operations, and IT to ensure that data integrity and consistency drive business success.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Your role will require a varied skillset to be involved in, but not limited to, the following:

  • Data Management: Maintain and update static data including instrument setup, counterparty data, and market data across multiple platforms.
  • Data Quality: Ensure data accuracy, integrity, and completeness through regular audits, validations, and reconciliations.
  • Cross-Department Collaboration: Work closely with trading desks, operations, and IT teams to resolve any data discrepancies and support new business initiatives.
  • Process Improvement: Identify opportunities to automate data processes and enhance data management systems, contributing to operational efficiency and data quality enhancements.
  • Regulatory Compliance: Ensure that all static data complies with internal policies and external regulations such as MiFID II, EMIR, and other global standards.
  • Data Integration: Assist in onboarding new systems or platforms, ensuring seamless integration of data into existing workflows. Support regulatory initiatives/projects with the subject matter experts.
  • Ensuring compliance with the company’s regulatory requirements under the FCA
  • Adhere to the operational risk framework for your role ensuring that all regulatory or company determined parameters are complied with.
