Reporting to the Regional Station Manager, our Station Compliance Manager will work collaboratively with the Station Delivery Managers to deliver an industry leading end-to-end customer experience. You’ll also be involved in;

  • Maintaining station compliance in line with relevant industry standards, LNER safety policies, procedures and risk assessments.
  • Coordinating the Competence Management System arrangements for safety critical roles within the region and work with the Station Delivery Managers to complete the required competence assessment events for all station related safety critical colleagues.
  • Developing and maintaining the competence of Station Mentors.
  • Working collaboratively with the Safety & Environment Business Partners; driving improvements to employee and customer safety through the development and implementation of processes and action plans based on trend analysis, investigation of accidents, incidents and close calls, timely close out of recommendations and implementation of safety & security management policies and systems.
  • Delivering timely Safety & Environmental communications to Station & Travel Centre teams through publications, notices and Team Engagement Days (TED).
  • Ensuring our Travel Centre’s remain compliant with our Schedule 17 commitments and they are audited in accordance with LNER policies and procedures.
  • Actively managing waste, water and energy on stations and with tenants to meet the LNER Environmental Key Performance Indicators (KPI).
  • Ensuring station tenants are compliant with all LNER processes and procedures.
  • Leading and participating in Trade Union meetings as required.
  • Fulfilling Station Delivery Manager shifts as required, including weekends.
  • Undertaking On Call duties on a rostered basis.
  • Ensuring relevant training and competences are gained and maintained to resource our continued service during times of disruption

Responsibilities:

We’re excited to share a brand-new opportunity within our Stations team to join us as a Station Compliance Manager. Within this role you will be responsible for the coordination and delivery of all Safety, Security and Environmental compliance activity at either Edinburgh, Newcastle, Leeds or London Kings Cross Station and other stations within that region. This includes station competence assessments, planned general inspections, risk assessments, accident and incident investigations, management responsibilities of being a fire responsible person of our stations and property and station security arrangements for each of the respective Regional Station Manager areas.
