JOB DESCRIPTION
Our multidisciplinary Modelling and Simulation experts design and implement health economic models that describe complex medical processes to understand and evaluate the implications of clinical trials; demonstrate the value of interventions beyond efficacy, and assess benefits, risks, and the economic consequences associated with healthcare interventions.
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE
- MSc or BSc in Biostatistics, Statistics, or Related field with demonstrated experience.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, ABILITIES
- Statistical programming with SAS (Base, Stat, Graph, Macro), R, SPSS, STATA, WinBUGS; Microsoft Office Suite.
- Practical experience in the application of statistics in health economics, outcomes research and epidemiology.
- Strong basis in fundamental statistical concepts and methods
- Familiarity with development of predictive equations, survival analysis (including parametric methods), longitudinal data analysis, indirect treatment comparisons (ITCs), matching-adjusted indirect comparison (MAIC), simulated treatment comparisons (STC), meta-analysis, network meta-analysis (NMA), and other hierarchical analysis techniques
- Work well in a team and independently regarding methodological elements in projects.
- Effective and articulate communication (spoken & written English) in technical and non-technical terms with project team members, ability to learn quickly.
Responsibilities:
- Work independently and with a Senior Statistician to contribute to the preparation of study protocols, review study materials, development of statistical analysis plans, writing programs to complete analyses, and assisting with the interpretation and dissemination of finings.
- Complete statistical analyses on multiple projects under supervision of Senior Statistician.
- Provide analytic support for economic models (semi and parametric survival analyses, EQ-5D utility analyses), indirect treatment comparison (MAIC, STC, NMA), longitudinal data analyses, and exploratory analysis of data.
- Participating to meetings with clients to lead discussions about statistical methods and to present results from analyses.
- Some contextual supervision of more junior statisticians project work
