WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR
We are seeking an experienced Statutory Accountant to join our expert support team for financial departments and shared services centers (SSC). The ideal candidate will have experience in complex financial analysis and statutory accounting, and the ability to work in a dynamic environment.
- Higher education in accounting, finance, or a related field.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in a similar position.
- Willingness to engage in 100% project-based work and frequent business travel
- Excellent knowledge of accounting regulations and tax law.
- Proficiency in English, both spoken and written.
- Proficiency in MS Office, especially Excel.
Ability to work in a team and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.Professional certifications (e.g., ACCA, CIMA) are a plus.
Responsibilities:
Your range of responsibilities will include:
- Ongoing statutory accounting review and booking of adjustments.
- Preparation of monthly/quarterly statutory balance sheet reviews and quarterly profit and loss analytical reviews.
- Liaising with business owners and Global Finance Teams to clear any anomalies, errors, or omissions, and with auditors to clear audit queries.
- Preparing annual sets of financial statements and applicable notes in accordance with local GAAP, including balance sheet, income statement, equity statement, cash flow statement, and notes.
- Keeping the Local GAAP Assets Accounts Database revised and up to date.
- Monitoring standard activities to manage potential balance sheet risk areas – attending and contributing to quarterly balance sheet reviews.
- Preparing National Statistics Forms and quarterly intercompany charges.
