Statutory Reporting Accountant with German
Role Overview:
Huntsman has an interesting opportunity for a Statutory Reporting Accountant. This role will support partners across our EMEA region from our formed Global Business Services located in Krakow.
The job holder will support mainly the German sites. The Statutory Reporting Accountant is responsible to assist the Country Accountant to direct and control all financial accounting processes for Huntsman EMEA entities in scope to ensure compliance with relevant Huntsman policies & procedures, German GAAP, statutory and fiscal requirements.

Role Responsibilities:

As a Statutory Reporting Accountant with German, you will be responsible for:

  • Preparing the yearly statutory annual accounts for entities in scope and aligning with external auditor, including the legal requirements.
  • Supporting Tax with the related Corporate Income Tax calculation and quarterly
  • Assisting in implementing and maintaining internal controls for key accounting processes.
  • Month-end closing for responsible entities, including activities like revaluation & analysing exchange differences.
  • Preparing and executing of the monthly reporting activities
  • Analysing, reconciling and controlling GL accounts and cost centres, including Payroll accounting.
  • Preparing of SOX control activities and statistical reporting
  • Ensuring compliance with local statutory requirements and manage deviations from US GAAP.
  • Reviewing the statutory financial statements in terms of completeness and accuracy
  • Monitoring and implement changes in statutory compliance as required by revised legislation
  • Identify the statutory adjustments and prepare the bridge to statutory financial statements, including account reconciliations
  • Collaborate with all stakeholders involved in audit and financial statements preparation processes
  • Coordinating statutory audits by providing required documentation and reconciliations.
  • Participating in the harmonization of statutory processes across entities.
  • Supporting accounting issues.

Experience and Competencies:
We are looking for experienced candidates with analytical thinking and statutory reporting knowledge.

What we are looking for:

  • At least a Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance preferably master.
  • At least 3 years of finance accounting experience with, ideally in international environment i.e. at RtR, GL, Statutory Reporting,
  • Excellent knowledge of English language.
  • Knowledge of German required.
  • ACCA certification is preferred
  • Advanced Excel skills.
  • Knowledge of SAP
  • Excellent analytical skills
  • Strong communication skills to interact with people at different locations and of different levels in the organization.
  • Service minded.

  • Flexible, adaptable to change / prioritise
