Description:

DESCRIPTION

Under the direction of the Director of Surgical Services, is able to independently apply surgical asepsis principles through surgical techniques via sterilization in the process and preparation of surgical instrumentation. Is also independently responsible for decontaminating, cleaning, and processing surgical instruments, equipment, and reusable supplies. Functions as a team member of the Sterile Processing Department. Reports to the Manager of Sterile Processing.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Recent experience in processing surgical instruments / equipment in all specialties
  • Medical terminology experience
  • Medical supply experience
  • 1 year of Sterile Processing experience
