Sterile Services Deputy Decontamination/Quality Manager, GMS Band D2

The Deputy Manager will be a key member of the management team deputizing for the General Manager of Decontamination and Sterile Services, with specialist knowledge of decontamination processes and quality systems. Working under the direction of the General Manager they will provide assistance and support the departments in the operation of service delivery.

The post holder will have direct responsibility for the delivery of the departmental Quality Management System to ISO 13485:2016 standards covering the full decontamination of bespoke sets of instrumentation and individual items of surgical equipment. Attending the departments audits and formulating action plans for any corrective actions, developing the departmental policies and procedures and communicating the content to the teams.
Working with the General Manager to deliver the service to the Trust SLA’s, contracts and KPI requirements, attending meetings with service users and manage service delivery.
Responsible for handling customer complaints and both in process and end product non-conformance incidents are dealt with promptly and efficiently.
