Stewarding Supervisor - Embassy Suites by Hilton Aruba Resort
A Stewarding Supervisor manages and directs the efforts of stewarding staff in order to maintain a sanitary food & beverage environment. Maintains inventory of supplies required to service guests within the food & beverage operation.
Responsibilities:
As a Stewarding Supervisor, you will oversee the hotel back-of-house operation by ensuring proper maintenance of all operating equipment and dish washing machines and providing the highest level of attention to the cleanliness and sanitation of all food and storage outlets. Specifically, the Stewarding Supervisor will perform the following tasks to the highest standards:
- Train, schedule, supervise and counsel all members of the stewarding department in accordance with established standards for safety, productivity and performance.
- Direct staff in maintaining the cleanliness of the back of house areas and food service areas.
- Maintain the inventory and coordinate the distribution of all big four items: china, glassware, linen and silver, which also includes visual inspection to ensure cleanliness and safe transportation.
- Control the equipment storage areas and the issuance of equipment for the food service department. This includes maintaining the cleanliness and good operation condition of house kitchen equipment, i.e. stoves, refrigerators, ovens, icemakers, walk-ins, dish machines, etc.
- Keep storerooms clean and tidy at all times.
- Ensure hygiene and health and safety standards are met at all times.
- Work with the kitchen to provide excellent service to our Guests
