JOB OVERVIEW

We are currently looking for a Stock Control Supervisor to join our Global Operations department based in Dunfermline. The Stock Controller Supervisor is responsible for the ongoing development, operation, and leadership of the Warehouse and Logistics Team. You will facilitate the training and development of staff in line with business requirements, ensuring the team have the appropriate tools and skill set for the job.
The Stock Control Supervisor will work closely with Inventory Control and Logistics Manager to deliver corporate Goals and Objectives in a complex environment.

WHAT QUALIFICATIONS OR QUALITES ARE REQUIRED

  • Minimum HND or equivalent experience in Warehousing or Manufacturing.
  • People management / Supervisory experience within a medium/low warehousing and manufacturing environment.
  • Medical devices experience preferred, with understanding of GMP and ISO14485 requirements.
  • Excellent leadership and organisational skills.
  • Strong interpersonal, communication, and motivational skills.
  • Qualitative and quantitative analytical skills.
  • Valid Reach truck, Aisle Master and clean driving license preferred.
  • Previous experience of ERP systems, ideally Dynamics GP.
  • Proficient user of Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel and Outlook).
  • Practical experience of Lean Tools and Methodologies.

Responsibilities:

  • Ensure the Department’s business requirements for Goods Inwards, Shipping and kitting are met by aligning the appropriate resource to the set department area, this is fluid and everchanging. Work closely with Production to ensure all kit supply demands and targets are met.
  • Work as a direct labour resource within the team to ensure the department hits its daily, weekly, and monthly target loadings.
  • Maintain a safe and healthy work environment by establishing, following, and enforcing compliance on all released Health and Safety procedures for direct reports. Ensure training and risk assessments are up to date along with timely accident / incident reporting.
  • Day to day supervision of the Warehouse and Logistics team. Lead, motivate, and develop staff, maximizing their individual contribution, their professional growth, and their ability to function effectively with their colleagues and as a team, to build and maintain a high-performance atmosphere through goals and objective setting.
  • Support the management of the Warehouse and Logistics Team in recruitment, absence management, performance appraisals, and any other relevant activity.
  • Promote a culture of continuous improvement within the team, leading and supporting activities. Look to adopt best practice on all Warehouse and Logistics processes.
  • Build and develop strong working relationships with your key internal stakeholders, these being Production, Supply Chain, Customer Services and Quality.
