Responsibilities:
THE ROLE: STOCK CONTROLLER/COMPOUNDING ASSISTANT
A great opportunity has become available for a Stock Controller/Compounding Assistant to join our Compounding Team in a Full-time, Permanent role on site at our Kurralta Park Facility.
The main purpose of this position is to be responsible for the receipt and processing of pharmaceutical orders and material movement throughout the pharmacy that meets with internal/external customer’s requirements and ensures the smooth running of production. You will also be supporting efficient and accurate production of Baxter Healthcare’s compounded products. This would involve various tasks, including the picking and preparation of raw materials, labelling, inspection, sealing, packing, labelling, and dispatching of finished units.
Key Responsibilities:
- Ordering of raw materials and consumables from Baxter warehouses
- Monitor coverage levels and communicate low stock position to the supply planners to ensure timely resolution
- Maintain appropriate safety stock levels to avoid any impact to production
- Perform receipting checks of all inventories received into Compounding centre as per receiving process and resolve any discrepancies promptly through liaison with internal and external stakeholders
- Ensure short-dated stock is flagged for review and all potential opportunities are explored from an early stage to minimise discard risk
- Perform cycle counts and/or stock take as required by cycle count process. Discrepancies exceeding predefined variance limits would require thorough investigation and analysis aimed at preventing re-occurrence where needed.
- Maintain stock accuracy in production and ERP systems as required. Ensure variances are investigated and necessary adjustments made to align system quantities with physical counts.
- Resolve all delivery or invoice discrepancies through liaison with the central inventory team
- Work closely with the central inventory team on day-to-day inventory management activities, including responding to queries, actioning requests, and facilitating urgent stock transfers in a timely manner.
- Manage the warehouse space efficiently, ensuring tidiness, ease of storage and picking, and maintenance of shelf labelling.
- Picking and preparing raw materials
- Labelling, inspection and sealing of compounded products
- Packing of finished units for each order including final inspection of products.
- Labelling and dispatching of prepared products.
- Maintaining and housekeeping of work area consumables
KEY REQUIREMENTS OF THE ROLE INCLUDE:
- Collaborating effectively in a team environment to achieve common goals in a fast-paced environment.
- Experience in similar role is essential.
- Demonstrate leadership qualities.
- Ability to work with minimum supervision.
- Ability to adhere to procedures and very good attention to detail.
- Have basic MS Excel and Outlook and basic mathematics
- Have excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Must be comfortable lifting 15-20kg regularly
