About THE ROLE
The Stock Finance Analyst works within the region north financial accounting team, whose role is to ensure the business books and records are accurate and complete.
Reporting into the Stock Accounting manager, this role will support the overseeing of the accounting for stock across Region North.

Responsibilities:

  • Working closely with the Shared service centre to support the financial reporting of stock and support with the operational aspect of stock that sits within the Finance function
  • Working with the SSC & Supply chain to monitor stock movements and write offs within the SAP accounting system across the UK, Ireland, Netherlands and Nordic entities
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including finance, operations, retail teams and profit protection team, to drive alignment and execution of stock accuracy improvement
  • Assist with the coordination of the annual physical inventory count, including reconciling and reporting on shrink results
  • Liaising with Auditors to organize compliance with correct stock taking procedures.
  • Support adhoc audit requests as needed
  • Work with Store Operations to facilitate post Inventory count investigations and support with agreed action plan
  • Support the profit protection team with adhoc reporting and investigations
  • Support the financial and operational aspect of the RFID process and work with the SSC, Store Operations and store teams to investigate and ensure differences are posted in a timely manner.
  • Provide timely posting and reporting of RFID results to Area managers, working closely with them to improve stock accuracy while conducting a thorough analysis of stores’ RFID reports (Excel BW report, Excel Hana report, SAP)
  • Stock control and overall reduction of stock loss across region North
  • Supporting the organization and reporting of the annual stock counts, liaising with Auditors to organize compliance with correct stock taking procedures.
  • Assisting in the improvement of internal controls related to inventory across region north

About YOU

  • With a finance background, you’ll have strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to manipulate and interpret data sets and draw actionable insights.
  • Willingness to understand transactional details and apply this to the larger picture
  • You’ll be proficient in utilising data analysis tools and software, such as Excel and SAP.
  • You’ll have Inventory control or Inventory management experience, preferably in a Retail environment
  • You’ll Take Ownership, having excellent attention to detail and the ability to collaborate effectively across functions.
  • You’ll have strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to Inspire Trust and effectively present findings and recommendations to stakeholders at various levels.
  • You Act with Purpose, have excellent organisational and time-management skills demonstrating the ability to multitask and prioritise workloads.
  • You work well with change, being able to Adapt Fast and work with pace.
