Position: Stockroom Assistant with Mechanic Helper Duties
Part Time Position: 24-32 hours per week
Location: Okmulgee, OklahomaOpen: 10/18/2024 Closes: 11/01/2024
This position supports the requests and logistical movements of aircraft engines, parts and materials world-wide. The role will assist in maintaining accurate stock levels to guarantee materials available for maintenance events to avoid service disruptions of aircraft being out of service due to parts. Provides Helper assistance to mechanics when requested or as needed.

QUALIFICATIONS:

High School or GED certification
Must have valid Drivers License
Good verbal and written communication skills email and memos
Ability to read and write English
Proficient with computers with basic Microsoft word processing software and email management
Warehouse Operations Knowledge, experienced with shipping, receiving and stocking practices
Ability to carry several assignments at the same time and deliver positive results
Ability to adjust to continuous change, ability to shift focus to new task while keeping productivity and without losing sight of general goals
Detail oriented, able to produce accurate work to avoid unnecessary reproduction
Self-initiated - able to complete needed work and/or identify areas that require work
Dependable
Good attendance
Able to lift 50lbs and stand during extended period of time
Mechanically Inclined
Tolerance for repetition
Stooping, bending, climbing ladders required
Able to endure temperature changes and outside work.

PREFERRED SKILLS:

1+ years in a warehouse environment
Inventory background experience
Aviation Materials Knowledge, familiar with parts numbers, descriptions and handling
Hazardous materials shipping and handling, knowledge of HAZCOM and general shipping procedures.
Forklift driving experience

Processing material movement requests accurately and on time
Performing shipping, receiving and stocking of aircraft engines, parts, components, and supplies
Providing helper assistance to mechanics as needed
Maintaining inventory within established specifications and in serviceable condition by following appropriate procedure. Demand and issue all parts to maintain accurate inventory counts
Count physical inventory; check minimums/maximums
Reviewing packing lists
Sealing and labeling containers
Moving crates/packages for loading
Maintaining up to date shelf life on stockroom items
Building kits for mechanics
Completing forms and paperwork
Some light manufacturing of parts
Mechanic Helper Duties as needed
Other duties as assigned
