Description:

Roberts Farm Equipment Sales is currently seeking a Stockroom Clerk at our Walton, ON location!

Under the supervision of the Parts Manager, the Stockroom Clerk performs duties related to receiving and shipping merchandise, verifies merchandise and organizes its distribution and prepares related documents.

KNOWLEDGE & EXPERIENCE

  • Minimum high school diploma or vocational equivalent
  • Experience in a similar role is required
  • Experience in an agricultural environment is considered to be an asset
  • Must be comfortable with current technology
  • Proficient with the following computer environments: Current Windows operating systems, Microsoft Office and Internet Explorer
  • Knowledge of parts, manuals and related documents
  • Forklift experience/license is considered an asset

Responsibilities:

SPECIFIC DUTIES:

  • Unloads, unpacks and distributes parts to the correct departments
  • Notifies service department of parts received in order to complete work orders
  • Applies freight amounts to sales orders and work orders, as required
  • Ships all outgoing parts including returns, warranties and claims
  • Places order for parts as needed and maintains complete knowledge of inventory levels
  • Checks incoming orders to ensure accuracy and signs for incoming parts
  • Ensures price corrections for invoice adjustments and credit invoices are completed
  • Conducts weekly cycle counts of all parts inventory to ensure accurate inventory levels
  • Continually completes core returns for regular and warranty items
  • Changes displays in the showroom on a monthly basis, sets up parts displays, keeps displays and shelves stocked and priced correctly

GENERAL DUTIES:

  • Ensures the parts room is kept clean and tidy, free of cardboard and garbage
  • Assists Counter and Service Staff during rush periods by making hydraulic hoses, chains, pulling part from pick-packs and other support related tasks
  • Attends and contributes to Dealership meetings, as required
  • Assists and trains staff, as required
  • Develops and maintains an efficient, current file and record management system both for electronic and paper correspondence and documents
  • Maintains complete knowledge of and complies with company policies, procedures and standards
