POSITION SUMMARY

One temporary hourly-intermittent Student Assistant positions available in the Warrior Fab Lab.

QUALIFICATIONS

Preferred Qualifications:

• Demonstrate experience with basic programming and/or 2D or 3D design software that may include, but is not limited to, Adobe Photoshop or Illustrator, 3D printing slicer software, CAD/CAM software.
• Demonstrate general knowledge of tool use, object making, or specific equipment used in a makerspace/fab lab environment.
• Demonstrate strong communication, organizational and computer skills.
• It is preferred, but not required, that the incumbent has experience in Canvas instructional development.

Required Qualifications:

• Undergraduate students must be registered/enrolled in a minimum of six (6) Fall/Spring units.Post-baccalaureate students in a graduate program must be registered in a minimum of four (4) Fall/Spring units.

Duties include but are not limited to:

• Assistance with general use of tools and equipment, preparation or inspection of digital files, and operation of CNC and 3D printing technology.
• Updates to general information and instructional material used in the Fab Lab.
• Monitoring the safe and proper use of the Fab Lab including equipment, tools and materials while maintaining a clean and organized space.

Other duties as assigned.
