The Boeing Company’s Site Operations organization is currently seeking a Storage Administrator (Associate, Mid-Level or Senior) with a background in storage and backup to join the team in Richardson, TX.
This position will design, install, operate, secure and maintain dedicated Program Information Technology (IT) Infrastructure that is required to deliver products to our customers.
The successful candidate will team with program engineering personnel to design, deploy, and maintain effective cost-efficient information technology solutions that support the Boeing Defense Systems programs.
The selected candidate’s specific responsibilities will include hardware and software integration, desktop and Linux/Windows server administration, networking, and information security required by the Department of Defense (DoD) to ensure compliance with Defense Federal Acquisition Regulation (DFAR) and Risk Management Framework (RMF) requirements.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS (REQUIRED SKILLS/EXPERIENCE):

  • Security+ certified (or similar certification meeting DoD Directive 8570.01 Certification Requirements)
  • Ability to obtain a Counter Intelligence polygraph
  • 1+ years of experience in integrating hardware and software components into a functional system
  • 1+ years of experience working with Risk Management Framework (RMF) requirements and implementation
  • 1+ years of experience working with COTS Integration in a Linux or Windows environment
  • 1+ years of experience with MS Windows server (2012, 2016, 2019, 2022) administration on physical and VMWare virtual servers
  • 1+ years of experience with File Share Provisioning
  • 1+ years of experience in enterprise server and storage platforms, including HPE ProLiant, HPE Synergy, Dell PowerEdge, and Dell Unity systems
  • 1+ years of experience with centralized services to include Lightweight Directory Access Protocol (LDAP), Domain Name Services (DNS), and System/File recording for system failure recovery (resiliency) (back-ups)

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS (DESIRED SKILLS/EXPERIENCE):

  • 3 or more years’ related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience
  • 5 or more years’ related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Active Counter Intelligence (CI) Polygraph
  • 5+ years of experience in Windows domain joined Linux servers
  • 5+ years of experience working with Virtualized Systems (i.e. VMWare) design and implementation
  • 5+ years of experience with standardized Network Protocols and Services (i.e. TCP/IP, VLAN, DNS, DHCP, Firewalls, etc.)
  • 5+ years of experience with computing administration to include managing Microsoft active directory design, deploy and operational support
  • 3+ years of experience with maintaining/configuring AD to include applying domain group policies
  • 3+ years of experience with a VMware virtual network environment
  • 3+ years of experience creating and maintaining multiple virtual servers based on VMware

Responsibilities:

  • Works in both Linux and Windows environments
  • Provides technical solutions for a wide range of difficult problems
  • Works with cross-functional teams to ensure infrastructure solutions meeting program requirements and schedule
  • Performs a multi-disciplined range of technical systems and application activities
  • Designs, installs, configures, troubleshoots and provides maintenance of systems hardware, software and components
  • Ensures Information Technology infrastructure conforms with standard architectural objectives
  • Provides creative problem solving, critical thinking, and advanced troubleshooting skills across a broad domain of secure network and computing systems
  • Performs hardware and software installation, configuration and disposition of servers and workstations to support the architecture
  • Provides complex problem resolution, root cause analysis and technical support for delivery systems
  • Plans and coordinates system changes
    This position is expected to be 100% onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at one of the listed location options.
