Storage (SAN) Administrator

As an internationally operating IT specialist, we are looking for you as a System Engineer Storage / SAN (m/f/d) for our location in Brasov, with the flexibility to work remotely, for example, from a home office.
You will be part of a motivated team and can look forward to a varied and challenging role with a strong focus on customer needs. You will work with the latest technologies in one of the largest data centers in Germany.

WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR:

• You have successfully completed relevant vocational training, for example, as an IT specialist, a degree with a focus on information technology, or a comparable qualification.
• Ideally, you have several years of professional experience in system support in a larger Storage and SAN environment.
• You have extensive knowledge of storage systems from various manufacturers (Hitachi, HP, IBM, NetApp) and SAN systems (Brocade).
• You possess strong service and customer orientation, commitment, team spirit, as well as a solution-oriented and structured approach to work.
• You are characterized by confident communication and resilience when handling parallel tasks with a high degree of independence.
• You enjoy communicating in English, German is a plus.
• Relevant certifications such as CompTIA Storage+, SNIA Certified Storage Engineer, or vendor-specific certifications (e.g., Hitachi Certified Specialist, NetApp Certified Data Administrator) are highly desirable.

• You analyze and create technical concepts in the Storage/SAN area.
• You advise existing and new customers.
• You capture customer requirements as part of the tender processes.
• You develop and plan Storage/SAN architectures for infrastructure projects.
• You take on technical and organizational project responsibility during the implementation phase and manage interfaces on a technical level.
• You are responsible for handling service requests, incidents, and changes in daily operations.
• Monitor storage and SAN system performance and optimize as necessary.
• Design and implement robust backup and recovery processes to ensure data integrity and availability.
• Ensure that storage and SAN systems are secure and compliant with industry standards and regulations.
• Maintain detailed documentation of storage configurations, procedures, and changes.
• Provide guidance and support to junior team members.
