WHAT ON EARTH IS DECIEM?

Known as “The Abnormal Beauty Company”, DECIEM is the parent company of The Ordinary, NIOD, and other beauty brands & is an industry disruptor with a science-first approach to innovation. DECIEM was Co-Founded in 2013 by the late Brandon Truaxe, a visionary who set out to change the beauty industry through authenticity and transparency. We are growing rapidly and we’re looking for someone who shares this vision and wants to grow with us!

WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR

We are looking to hire a Casual Store Associate to work at our Flagship Australian store located on Gertrude St, Fitzroy.
The ideal candidate must be available to work at least 3 shifts per week and will be flexible with their schedule which will include weekends, some nights and public holidays, working around 10-15 hours each week. The successful candidate will have availability on weekdays and also be able to work at least one day over the weekend.
There will also be an opportunity to increase working hours from November through December as this is our busiest period of the year. The successful candidate will be fully available through this period.
More hours are available for those candidates who can work across multiple locations. We are looking for someone with good initiative and is a strong team player.

SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS NEEDED TO GET THE JOB DONE

• Love of beauty products and a passion for skincare
• Comfortable in engaging customers and applying products with the customer while providing consultations
• Ability to multi-task, while providing professional and outstanding customer service
• Effective time management and communication skills
• Attention to detail and problem-solving skills

• Greet all customers who enter the store with enthusiasm and professionalism reflecting DECIEM’s vision through excellent service
• Determine the customer’s needs and suggest relevant products by listening to the customer and sharing the product knowledge acquired during brand training
• Ensure standards for quality, customer service and health and safety are met
• Adhere to the DECIEM experience and deliver unparalleled customer service. Educate customers about the world of Beauty and Skin Care, DECIEM brands and products
• Manage customer feedback and queries
• Operate POS and complete transactions accurately and efficiently
• Participate in inventory control and counts to ensure product stock is up to date
• Contribute to a positive, fun, and professional team environment
• Stay up to date with product knowledge, company information, launches and campaigns
• Perform operational duties such as cash handling, restocking, replenishing products
