Job Description:
The Store Designer is primarily responsible for preparing preliminary and final store design layouts, fixture plans and construction details for internal review and release. This role works closely with various levels of Corporate Management and with our Franchise Store Partners. They will use software to assist with creating design plans in the layouts of all store builds and resets.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Produce construction store drawings on AutoCAD including architectural, merchandise fixture, electrical, reflective ceiling, finish, and plumbing plans and provide to Architect to produce permit drawings.
  • Produce existing store redesign layouts as requested
  • Design the store premise to maximize merchandisable space while maintaining code compliance and Company Design elements.
  • Work closely with the Planogram Manager to determine fixture requirements and to ensure fixturing is placed and sized correctly for proper product placement.
  • Work closely with our Franchise Partners and Corporate Management Group to develop and finalize fixture layouts.
  • Source and coordinate fixture install crews.
  • Provide take off drawings for our fixture and millwork vendors.
  • Work closely with the Fixture Coordinator to ensure accurate take offs

Experience, Education, Certifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree or College Diploma in a design discipline from a recognized educational institution
  • Maintain a strong understanding of a retail store environment.
  • Knowledge of AutoCAD
  • Strong knowledge of the Microsoft suite of products and content development tools (i.e., PowerPoint, Excel, Word, Adobe Captivate, Articulate etc.)
