We are recruiting to fill the position below:
JOB DESCRIPTION
- We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Store Manager to oversee the day-to-day operations of our Fabric store.
- The ideal candidate will be responsible for a wide range of duties including staff supervision, inventory management, customer relations, order monitoring, and financial oversight.
- The Store Manager will report directly to the store owner and play a key role in ensuring the store’s success and profitability.
QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS
- Degree / HND / OND in Accounting, Business Managementwith 3 - 5 years of experience.
- Proven experience in retail management, with a track record of success in driving sales and profitability.
- Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Excellent organizational and time management abilities.
- Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks effectively in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities:
Constantly Updating the CEO on Everything:
- Provide regular updates to the store owner on all aspects of store operations, including sales performance, staff productivity, inventory status, and customer feedback.
- Communicate any significant issues or concerns promptly and collaborate with the store owner to address them effectively.
Supervise Staff:
- Oversee all staff members, including sales associates and support staff if any.
- Manage staff attendance, working hours, and scheduling to ensure adequate coverage during operating hours.
- Provide training, guidance, and performance feedback to staff to enhance productivity and customer service skills.
Inventory Management:
- Maintain accurate inventory records and monitor stock levels to prevent shortages or excess inventory.
- Coordinate with suppliers to ensure timely replenishment of stock.
- Conduct regular inventory audits to identify discrepancies and implement corrective measures.
Customer Relations:
- Cultivate positive relationships with customers by providing exceptional service and addressing inquiries, complaints, or feedback promptly.
- Implement strategies to enhance customer satisfaction, loyalty, and retention.
Order Monitoring and Tracking:
- Receive and process customer orders promptly and accurately.
- Monitor order status and track shipments to ensure on-time delivery.
- Address any issues or delays in order fulfillment proactively to minimize customer dissatisfaction.
Supervision of WhatsApp Conversations:
- Monitor and respond to WhatsApp messages from customers in a timely and professional manner.
- Provide assistance, information, or resolutions to customer inquiries or concerns through the provided WhatsApp communication channel.
Monitor Deliveries:
- Coordinate with logistics partners to schedule and track deliveries to the store and clients.
- Inspect incoming deliveries for accuracy and quality, and handle any discrepancies or damages accordingly.
- Ensure proper storage and handling of delivered items to maintain their integrity and quality.
Liaising with Accounting Team:
- Collaborate with the accounting department to ensure accurate financial record-keeping and reporting.
- Provide necessary documentation and information for bookkeeping and expense tracking.
Closing out Monthly Transactions:
- Compile and review all financial transactions, including sales, expenses, and payments, at the end of each month.
- Prepare and submit comprehensive monthly financial reports to the store owner for review and analysis.
- Identify areas for cost-saving measures and revenue enhancement opportunities based on financial data analysis.
Collating Expenses:
- Record and categorize all store expenses, including payroll, utilities, supplies, and maintenance costs.
- Analyze expense data to identify trends, deviations from budget, and areas for cost optimization.
- Work with the accounting team to ensure accurate expense tracking and reporting in accordance with company policies and procedures.
