Description:

JOB SUMMARY:

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Store Manager to oversee the day-to-day operations of our supermarket/hypermarket. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring efficient store operations, maintaining high standards of customer service, and driving sales growth. The Store Manager will lead a team, manage inventory, optimize profitability, and ensure a clean and organized store environment.
Key Responsibilities:

Store Operations:

  • Oversee the daily operations of the supermarket/hypermarket, ensuring all departments are functioning efficiently.
  • Monitor store cleanliness, safety, and compliance with company policies and standards.
  • Ensure the store meets health and safety regulations.

Team Management:

  • Recruit, train, and mentor store staff to ensure a motivated and efficient workforce.
  • Schedule staff shifts and manage performance to achieve store goals.
  • Provide leadership and resolve employee issues to maintain a positive work environment.

Customer Service:

  • Ensure high levels of customer satisfaction by providing excellent service.
  • Handle customer complaints and feedback professionally and effectively.

Inventory and Merchandising:

  • Manage inventory levels to ensure adequate stock while minimizing waste.
  • Oversee product placement, promotions, and merchandising to maximize sales.
  • Conduct regular stock checks and ensure timely replenishment of goods.

Sales and Profitability:

  • Analyze sales data to identify trends and improve performance.
  • Develop strategies to achieve sales targets and increase profitability.
  • Control costs, reduce shrinkage, and monitor store budgets.

Reporting:

  • Prepare and present regular reports on sales, inventory, and store performance.
  • Communicate effectively with senior management regarding store operations and initiatives.

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Proven experience as a Store Manager, preferably in a supermarket or hypermarket setting.
  • Strong leadership, organizational, and time-management skills.
  • Excellent customer service and interpersonal abilities.
  • Proficiency in inventory management and point-of-sale systems.
  • Analytical skills with a focus on sales and performance metrics.
  • Ability to work under pressure and adapt to changing priorities.
  • Bachelor’s degree in business administration, retail management, or a related field (preferred).
