ABOUT YOU:

We’re looking for a Retail Store Manager with a deep understanding of the collecting world and a passion for driving customer engagement.

  • Affinity for Collectibles & Brand: A genuine passion for trading cards, collectibles, and sports memorabilia, with strong knowledge of the market and what excites collectors.
  • Leadership Experience: Proven experience in a leadership role ideally within retail but we open to sectors. Most importantly you will be an inspirational leader.
  • Customer Experience Champion: A dedication to creating memorable experiences for customers, especially those seeking exclusive collectibles and trading cards.
  • Financial Acumen: Strong financial management skills, with experience handling revenue streams in excess of £1M, managing budgets, and driving profitability.
  • Marketing & Merchandising Expertise: Experience in collaborating on marketing campaigns and merchandising, particularly in retail environments focused on collectibles and high-value items.
  • Stakeholder Management: Ability to confidently manage relationships with senior leadership. Comfortable providing floor walks and business overviews to visiting stakeholders.

Responsibilities:

As the Retail Store Manager of Fanatics’ Global Flagship Store, you’ll lead a dynamic team and create an immersive experience tailored to card collectors and sports fans. This role offers an exciting opportunity to manage a destination that will be at the forefront of the collectible community, bringing together rare trading cards, sports memorabilia, and interactive fan experiences.

  • Recruit, Train, and Manage Staff: Build and manage a team passionate about sports and collectibles, ensuring they deliver expert product knowledge and outstanding customer service to both seasoned collectors and new enthusiasts.
  • Track Sales & Performance: Leverage your understanding of the collectibles market to monitor sales trends, implement revenue-maximizing strategies, and ensure the store consistently meets and exceeds sales targets.
  • Create a Collector-Focused Experience: Foster a vibrant in-store atmosphere that speaks to the heart of card collecting. Host trading events, live product demonstrations, and community gatherings to engage collectors and build excitement around new releases and rare finds.
  • Collaborate on Marketing & Events: Work with Fanatics’ marketing and activation teams to coordinate exclusive launch events, autograph signings, and card release parties that celebrate the collecting community and enhance brand engagement.
  • Visual Merchandising & Promotions: Collaborate on designing displays that spotlight high-value cards, rare memorabilia, and seasonal promotions. Create visually stunning showcases that draw in collectors and casual fans alike.
