As we continue to grow, we are looking for a motivated and experienced Store Manager to lead our Lee-on-Solent store and contribute to our success.
Skills and Experience
- Solid retail background, with experience at Head of Department or Supervisor level
- Strong computer literacy, with familiarity in retail software (Lightspeed) is desirable
- Proven experience in staff management and leadership, including scheduling, absence and holiday management, timesheet administration, and issuing fair, rolling rotas within set timeframes
- Ability to efficiently manage both shop floor operations and administrative duties
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong commercial awareness with a strategic mindset
- Confident, positive, and proactive, contributing your own ideas to drive business growth
- Genuine passion for animals and their well-being
- Product knowledge around raw pet food and feeding practices is desirabl

Responsibilities:
THE ROLE
As the Store Manager, you will report directly to the company director and take full ownership of the day-to-day operations of the store. You will also be responsible for overseeing the on-site groomers, ensuring that all store targets and departmental objectives are met. This is a full-time position, with some weekend work required (3 Saturdays out of 4).
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Recruit, train, and support staff to ensure exceptional customer service and maximise sales
- Oversee stock management, including supplier orders, stock rotation, and inventory levels
- Coordinate stock transfers between the Lee-on-Solent and Shedfield stores
- Maintain high standards of store presentation and cleanliness
- Build and nurture relationships with customers, retail partners, and grooming customers
- Manage commercial activities, including promotions, events, and product margins
- Set and manage store goals and targets, ensuring they are met
- Demonstrate confidence, positivity, and helpfulness, and contribute innovative ideas to enhance the business
