Responsibilities:

It’s safe to say, there’s no shortage of variety in what we do. Here are some key responsibilities of the role:

  • Accountability to improve overall store profit, delivering sales results, controlling expenses, and reducing shrink and damage by managing store operations including merchandising and presentation, backroom, frontline, cash office, customer service, markdowns, scheduling, shipping and receiving;
  • Direct accountability for recruitment, training and Associate development, performance and acts as a role model on delivering positive Associate and customer experience in Store
  • Responsible for ensuring TJX Canada programs, procedures and policies are communicated, adhered to/ executed, to reduce risk and expenses, by reviewing Store reports, conducting store walkthroughs, audits and establishing program meetings with Associates
  • Provides input on succession plans to meet future needs; includes ensuring each Associate has a development plan that supports their growth and career aspirations
  • Develop and communicate action plans to Store teams identifying upcoming projects, targets, priorities, company initiatives, events, promotions or any other store initiatives that require future planning; review changes to merchandising and inventory guidelines and execute changes to Store floor plans as needed
  • Identify and develop recommendations for District Manager and Business Development teams on merchandise mix, inventory levels, customer demographics when sales have been impacted due to cannibalization, market or competition changes; report on competition analysis (merchandise pricing, presentation, customer service etc.)
