Description:

We’re currently recruiting a dedicated Storesperson to help ensure the smooth running of operations at Compass Group Ireland on a full time basis, contracted to 40 hours per week.

  • Mon: Full-time (Days)
  • Tues: Full-time (Days)
  • Weds: Full-time (Days)

Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Conduct weekly stock takes and enter all relevant information on the system
  • Identify to the line manager any items that will be out of stock
  • Check all deliveries and store and rotate goods correctly in accordance with the company’s foodsafety management system
  • Liaise with suppliers in case of shortages/product rejection to ensure early replacement or creditand return the rejected stock
  • Deliver all goods to the relevant outlets within agreed timescales
  • Check deliveries for quality and quantity and store correctly in accordance with company systems
  • Ensure all relevant equipment and store cupboards are kept clean and locked when not in use
  • Assist other members of staff move/lift heavy loads
  • Ensure all work areas within your station are clean during and after use
  • Receive stock, store and check for quality and quantity, ensuring that all stock is dated and rotated
  • Additional responsibilities may include being a key holder
  • Cross check and verify GTIN & Allergens and communicate any changes or differences with theHeadchef/ building manager
  • Any other reasonable duties as requested by your line manager

Our ideal Storesperson Porter will:

  • Ability to create effective relationships and collaborate internally at all team levels
  • Basic computer skills required
  • Demonstrates Compass values and principles
  • Understands and has knowledge of Client Food Program
  • Ability to learn and effectively implement directives
  • Good people skills
  • Ability to work individually and within a team
  • Passion about food and customer service
  • Excellent communication skills - written and verbal
  • Previous experience in a similar role is desirable, however not necessary
