ABOUT OUR ROLE

• Permanent, full-time position based at Simplot Devonport
• Mon-Fri work week (with seasonal overtime where required) - daily roster 0600 - 1430hrs
• Base hourly rate of $34.10
  An opportunity exists for the full-time, permanent position of Storeperson with Simplot Devonport. Employing over 300 Tasmanians, Simplot Devonport is the last processor of scale of frozen vegetables in Australia, and has a proud history in the local community since 1942. Processing locally grown peas, beans, carrots, broccoli, cauliflower, onions and brussel sprouts - we are the home of Australia’s favourite foods!
  Reporting to the Production Planner, in this active role - the Storeperson will support the ordering, receival, receipt and distribution of our site production consumables in addition to our site wide PPE stores.

WHAT YOU WILL DO

Duties will include (but are not limited to) the following;

• Forklift operations - loading / unloading of third party vehicles containing production consumables - noting our counterbalance forklifts (2.5T) operate via finger toggle controls, and are a mix of gas & electric units
• Distribution of consumables to the various production areas of the plant
• Timely and accurate stocktaking, consistent with Simplot and procedures
• Purchasing of site materials
• Data entry into Windows based PC systems
• Inventory management
• Warehouse management
• Provision of timely information and advice to Production Planner + wider plant on stores related issues that may affect production activities
