Description:

We’re currently recruiting a dedicated Stores Operations Coordinator to help ensure the smooth running of the operations in Defence on a full time basis, contracted to 35 hours per week.

Your key responsibilities will include:

  • To carry out the various daily, weekly, periodic, and cleaning duties in Stores, CFB and public areas as required under the contract service level agreement and follow the cleaning schedule as directed by your line manager
  • Ensure you are aware of & comply with all client & company health & safety procedures and standards at all times e.g. Food Handling, COSHH, uniforms & PPE, Manual handling, Fire procedures, Quality control. Ensuring all correct PPE is worn at all times.
  • Complete, maintain and update all Food Safety and Health & Safety paperwork correctly when required.
  • Maintain the cleanliness of working areas ensuring Health and Safety hazards, issues, near misses and accidents are reported using the appropriate reporting procedures at the earliest opportunity, this also includes vehicles.
  • Responsible for the control, issue, and receipt of all food deliveries. All pallets and Roll cages to be returned to the stores area once delivery has been completed.
  • Process orders via nominated systems and use the correct approved Compass vendors
  • Check invoices and delivery notes and report any anomalies to your line manager
  • Supervise the receipt, correct storage and quality of food supply and report any concerns or observations to your line manager
  • Oversee and monitor all stocktaking procedures ensuring minimal risk of waste by complying with the company Profit Protection guidelines
  • Responsible for all unit stock transfers, including completion of weekly stock counting
  • Ensure all auditable paperwork is passed to the Accounts Department in a timely manner
  • Ensure the correct storage, control and use of all machinery and equipment, cleaning materials and relevant chemicals.
  • Undertake mandatory training as detailed in the training matrix, ensuring all training is recorded on your training record card and to complete all on-line training
  • Be flexible and comply with any reasonable requests made by your line Manager including if necessary, working within other units within reasonable distance
  • Learn and demonstrate the ESS Way behaviours at all times to colleagues, customers & clients
  • Complete regular day to day activities as required for the smooth operation of your department / site as instructed by your line manager
  • To observe and comply with all company and unit profit protection procedures, reporting any issues to your line manager
  • To be polite, professional, and friendly at all times with customers, clients, and colleagues
  • To ensure the highest level of customer care is adhered to at all times
  • To demonstrate a can-do attitude towards individual customer requests and strive to exceed customer expectations

  • To work with your Line Manager to ensure the Compass Service Framework policies, procedures and controlled documents are up to date and used effectively in your area including HSE & One Best Way procedures such as the rota tool, brand audits, monthly reviews, planograms, food to go trackers, trading diaries etc
  • To be flexible and assist colleagues outside of your usual work area as required by operational needs. This may include but not be limited to working in retail stores, coffee shops, bars, vending, messes & basic food prep areas
  • To proactively up sell and demonstrate excellent knowledge of all products provided to customers and clients
  • Ensure all company owned vehicles are maintained in accordance with company standards.
  • Ensure all paperwork associated with company vehicles is completed and submitted as required and in accordance with company procedures.
  • The stores team is to provide pot wash cover for the duration of lunch service including clearing down post service.
  • Deliver hospitality requests as required around the ABW estate, in addition, ensuring all items are collected in post event.
  • Support with hospitality/functions service delivery effectively and efficiently.
