THE OPPORTUNITY
Orrcon Steel is looking for a Stores & Procurement Supervisor to join the team based in Salisbury. Orrcon Steel is a manufacturer of steel tube and pipe and leading Australian steel distributor with nationally recognised brands.
Reporting to the Engineering manager, you will be responsible for the competitive, reliable, and continuous supply of materials, parts and service to the manufacturing site. In this hands-on role, you will lead a small team of direct reports, will focusing on the continuous improvement of the purchasing systems and processes.

Responsibilities:
WHAT WILL YOU DO?
As a demonstrated leader, you will:
- ensure competitive, reliable and continuous supply of materials, parts and service
- motivate, develop, lead and support the Salisbury Stores & Procurement team
- provide relevant critique & approval of new vendor requests
- identify and implement opportunities to reduce costs, increase productivity and improve safety
With your experience within a similar role, you will bring:
- knowledge of Stores & Procurement/Supply Chain concepts and processes
- inventory management skills
- the ability to support, coach and lead a team
- excellent communication and problem solving
- the ability to negotiate and influence others
- experience with JD Edwards or other ERP system
