Description:

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor’s degree in supply chain management, industrial engineering, or related field.
  • Minimum of 8 years of experience; 2 of them in a supervisory/management role.
  • Expert with ERP systems and warehouse tools (e.g., SAP, SAP Warehouse Management), MS Tools (e.g., Excel), and previous experience with reporting tools (e.g., PowerBi, Tableau)
  • Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
  • Knowledge of lean manufacturing or Six Sigma methodologies is a plus.

PREFERRED SKILLS:

  • Experience in the aerospace or defense industry.
  • Proven track record of implementing process improvements in a stores or warehouse environment.
  • Ability to manage a team and ensure accountability for work completion.

A Stores Supervisor at Collins Aerospace is responsible for overseeing the inventory management and induction and issuing processes. This role ensures the efficient operation of the stores department, maintains accurate stock levels, and coordinates with other departments to meet production requirements. The Stores Supervisor leads a team of store inspectors and ensures adherence to safety, quality, and company standards.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Inventory Control: Manage and monitor inventory levels, ensuring timely induction, storage, and issuing of materials.
  • Team Supervision: Oversee and train storekeepers, ensuring staff adhere to company procedures and safety standards. Conduct performance reviews and manage scheduling.
  • ERP System Management: Utilize systems like SAP for accurate inventory tracking and reporting. Implement process improvements to enhance efficiency.
  • Collaboration: Coordinate with material planning, production, logistics and quality control teams to meet material requirements and resolve discrepancies.
  • Safety and Compliance: Maintain a safe working environment by adhering to health and safety regulations and keeping the store organized and clean.
  • Auditing and Reporting: Perform regular stock audits and generate inventory reports to identify trends and improve processes.
