Description:
The Utah Department of Transportation (UDOT) is looking for a knowledgeable and detail-oriented individual to fill the Stormwater Environmental Program Manager I position, assisting in managing the UDOT Stormwater Management Program.

Responsibilities:
As the Stormwater Environmental Program Manager you will:
- Ensure compliance with applicable federal and/or state laws, regulations, and/or agency rules, standards and guidelines.
- Oversee and provide strategic direction for UDOT’s compliance with water quality regulations.
- Work with project managers, consultants, regulatory agencies and local governments to actively ensure stormwater regulatory requirements are communicated and met in a professional and efficient manner.
- Provide effective guidance, direction, and supervision of stormwater staff by prioritizing, assigning, and tracking progress of work, to ensure accuracy, completeness, and timeliness of the tasks and objectives assigned.
- Supervise and mentor staff to foster a collaborative and productive work environment, promoting professional development and continuous improvement.
- Monitor and evaluate program effectiveness, making recommendations for improvement as needed.
- Prepare and submit required reports and documentation to regulatory agencies.
- Interpret stormwater data and documentation to inform decision-making and program improvements.
- Prepare and manage contracts related to stormwater permit compliance.
- Track progress and manage budget of stormwater improvement projects.
- Oversee stormwater training programs.
