YOUR QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Engineering, International Relations, or a related field (MBA preferred).
- Several years of experience in B2B sales, preferably within the defense and security sector.
- Experience managing and leading a high-performing sales team. Strong understanding of government procurement processes (e.g., RFPs, tenders).
- Exceptional communication and presentation skills, with the ability to build rapport with high-level decision-makers.
- Ability to travel internationally as needed.
- Security clearance may be required depending on the specific role and company.
- Additional Desirable Qualities:
- Experience working within a matrixed organizational structure.
- Understanding of international business practices and cultural sensitivities.
- Extrovert personality.
- Passion for the defense and security industry.
Responsibilities:
- Be the functional lead of a Strategic Accounts Managers: You’ll be responsible for building, leading, and motivating a team of Strategic Account Managers focused on defense, security, and critical infrastructure. This includes proposing goals, providing coaching, and ensuring the team functions cohesively.
- Develop and Implement Strategic Account Plans: This involves creating and executing strategic plans to grow market share and secure high-value contracts with strategic accounts.
- Identify and Pursue Collaborative Opportunities: You’ll need to proactively find new business opportunities within your assigned accounts and develop strategies to leverage partnerships with our strategic accounts.
- Manage Relationships with Key Decision-Makers: Building strong relationships with high-level contacts. This involves regular communication, understanding their needs, and becoming a trusted advisor.
- Support your extended team while negotiating and securing High-Value Contracts: You’ll play a key role during the negotiation and closing of high-value contracts as it will be your responsibility to ensure headquarter support when the local team faces an impasse.
- Track, Analyze, and Report on Account Performance: Monitoring and measuring the performance of all strategic accounts is essential. You’ll be responsible for tracking key metrics, analyzing data, and reporting on progress towards achieving strategic goals.
