Job Profile:
Our Strategic Account Manager role is an exciting opportunity to work within our Business Development Team. The Strategic Account Manager (SAM) will be responsible for leading and shaping the relationship with designated clients, with a specific focus on optimising the profitability of each account and delivering the strategic aims of e.surv in each relationship.
You will be tasked with establishing and maintaining a deep understanding of the client’s lending policy and strategy, including specialist segments, valuation product appetite and planned transformation projects.
QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE
- Business related Bachelor’s degree or the equivalent combination of education and experience is desirable
- Sufficient years of work experience operating at senior level withing strategic Business Development.
- The ideal candidate will have a proven ability to secure, manage and expand large accounts
- Strong leadership and commercial acumen
- Knowledge of related risks with ability to identify, assess and manage them appropriately.
- Ability to demonstrate managing multiple stakeholders at various levels
- Experience in the property, financial services, or related sectors
Responsibilities:
- Through effective relationship Management, the SAM will Identify new valuation and wider business opportunities for the Surveying Division to include for example, Valuation specialisms. Consumer Surveys, Energy Efficiency, Asset Management and LPA Receivership.
- This senior role will involve developing and executing a strategic sales plan focused on acquiring and managing high-value or potentially high value corporate clients.
- The SAM will Own a business development pipeline and campaign management for assigned clients, building and maintaining relationships with clients, partners, and industry bodies.
- Creating advocacy throughout the client and retaining contracts (which is covered in the main section as the primary goal) where possible, aiming where possible to optimise commercial value and or valuation allocations
- The SAM will work closely with the Business Development Director to generate and drive new business activity leveraging all routes to market, when required to do so to support e.surv Strategic Plan
- Identify the areas for future growth and development based on client feedback and industry knowledge
- Propose deal structure with the goal of ensuring optimal terms for both the client and e.surv, and mitigating risk where necessary.
- Work with e.surv shared services teams to define service needs and levels (quality, compliance, risk appetite, capacity, availability, speed) covering: SLAs, Data, Management Information, Technology (platforms, systems and infrastructure), Risk & Governance, Finance, Marketing, Operations, Human Resources, Technical Surveying and Field Operations.
- Own and maintain an Account Plan for each appointed relationship.
- Sets the standards for dealing with unprecedented, complex or intricate issues regarding prospect needs, deal structure, negotiations, priorities, compliance, regulations, etc.
- Uncovers emerging issues and/or needs and identifies potential causes, related issues, key stakeholders and barriers.
- Seek out and understand prospect data and targeting opportunities
- Responsible for agreed revenue goals within the function
