JOB SUMMARY

We’re looking for an exceptional Strategic Analysis & Planning Manager to help us make a difference to our planet.
As our Strategic Analysis & Planning Manager, the job may be suitable for hybrid working, which is where an employee works part of the week in the office and part of the week from home. This is a voluntary, non-contractual arrangement and the location advertised will be your contractual place of work.
Our opportunity is full time, 37 hours per week, but we would also consider applicants wishing to work a minimum of 30 hours per week and we will also try our best to consider those intending to work a job share. ESSENTIAL CRITERIA, SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:

  • Ability to assimilate and synthesise complex management information, translating into succinct trends and recommendations.
  • Excellent communication skills (oral, verbal, listening and presentation) with an ability to effectively engage and negotiate with staff at all levels.
  • Outstanding organisation, prioritisation and decision-making skills.
  • Proven team management skills, demonstrating we are better together through supporting and guiding your colleagues.
  • Strong proficiency in the Microsoft Power Suite (Power BI, Power Apps, Power Automate, CoPilot).

Responsibilities:

YOUR KEY DUTIES

  • Provide a central point of expertise and support across the directorate for common corporate and professional tools and processes, including (as relevant) but not exclusive to: risk, performance, budgeting & resourcing, strategic planning, horizon scanning, metric development and business analysis.
  • Own the design, and delegate tasks, for monthly delivery of the Science and Technology Power BI Dashboards.
  • Proactively monitor performance against targets and perform trends analysis, providing relevant reports for a variety of audiences, taking action to ensure any deviations, issues, threats, or opportunities are resolved or escalated as appropriate.
  • Assist with strategic planning, utilising business analysis tools and techniques which determine relevant internal and external trends.
  • Curate and develop qualitative and quantitative analysis of Science Partnerships value, including case studies.
  • Responsibility for team management, tasking, and performance, taking corrective action as necessary, mentor staff to develop their capability, continually improving team motivation and productivity to ensure customer and colleague expectations are met.
  • Embed Science & Technology procedures, delegating tasks to ensure your team review these at least annually.
