EXPERIENCE:
EX1: Recent and *significant experience in developing and implementing communication strategies, plans or projects.
EX2: Recent and *significant experience in coordinating projects or activities related to communications.
EX3: Experience in writing or editing a wide variety of digital communication products, such as social media content, web content, infographics, and digital display content, intended for various audiences.
EX4: Experience in publishing content and material being used as part of or in support of social media and other public outreach activities.
Recent and *Significant experience is defined as the depth and breadth of experience normally associated with full-time performance of duties for a minimum of two years within the last five years.
EXPERIENCE:
AEXP1 Experience using tools to monitor and analyze communications and media coverage on the web and in traditional media.
OPERATIONAL REQUIREMENTS:
Willingness and ability to work overtime on short notice.

ABILITIES:

Responsibilities:
Reporting to the Canadian Judicial Council (CJC) Director of Communications and Strategic Issues Management, you will:
- Undertake research (environmental scans as well as formalized research activities) to support and contribute to the development and/or delivery of communication strategies/plans;
- Provide strategic advice on reporting strategies to support the development of, accessibility to, and release of information;
- Provide subject matter expertise in the development of strategic approaches to respond to emerging issues and crises, communication opportunities and priorities, media engagement and the implementation of new initiatives;
- Author, edit, and publish communication products/publications;
- Assist with the management of the CJC’s website, social media channels, and any other communication platforms;
- Manage the tendering process for securing external resources required to assist in the development, production and release of information products, from initiation to completion; and,
- Provide secretariat support to the Public Information Committee.
