DESCRIPTION AND REQUIREMENTS

The ISG Business Unit of Lenovo is seeking a Strategic Communications Manager. Lenovo is a leader in genuine innovation and smarter technology for all. This role will report directly to the ISG Director of Global Communications.

SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and execute communication strategies to enhance relationships with technology partners and regulatory bodies.
  • Represent the organization in industry forums, conferences, and working groups.
  • Produce and disseminate high-quality content, including white papers and thought leadership articles on tech innovations.
  • Monitor industry trends and competitor activities, providing regular insights and reports to senior management.
  • Manage communication during technological crises, ensuring clear and consistent messaging.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to ensure alignment of communication efforts with business and technological objectives.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Public Relations, Marketing, or a related field. A degree in a technology-related field is a plus.
  • 8+ years of experience in industry relations, communications, or a related role within the technology sector.
  • Strong understanding of the technology industry and regulatory environment.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to convey complex technical information clearly.
  • Proven ability to build and maintain relationships with industry stakeholders and regulatory bodies.
  • Experience in crisis communication and management within the tech industry.
  • Strong project management and organizational skills.

Responsibilities:

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Stakeholder Engagement:
  • Build and maintain relationships with technology partners, industry analyst groups, and regulatory bodies.
  • Act as a primary contact for industry associations and standard-setting organizations.
  • Communication Strategy:
  • Develop and implement communication strategies that resonate within the technology sector.
  • Manage and communicate business unit results, strategy and plans within the business unit and in collaboration with the corporate strategy and investor relations organization.
  • Craft messaging that addresses technological advancements, regulatory changes, and industry trends.
  • Content Creation:
  • Prepare quarterly earnings documents, interim and annual reports, scripts, emails, and newsletters to provide corporate transparency to investors and employees. Comply with Hong Kong Stock Exchange regulations and internal requirements for company information disclosure. Must be able to rapidly generate drafts in either Chinese or English.
  • Regularly analyze shareholder composition and activities. Monitor company stock price changes and prepare updates for the shareholders, the board of directors, etc.
  • Prepare speeches and presentations for industry conferences and events.
  • Research and Analysis:
  • Monitor and analyze technological trends, market developments, and competitor activities.
  • Provide insights and reports to inform strategic decisions and identify opportunities.
  • Event Management:
  • Organize various investor roadshows, analyst meetings, and large-scale visit events, actively collaborate with China IR personnel to develop events. Timely communication with shareholders and potential investors to continuously increase the company’s market value. Proactively use various tools and methods to establish effective and timely contact with investors and analysts.
  • Coordinate internal and external communication efforts for product launches and major announcements.
  • Internal Collaboration:
  • Work closely with R&D, product development, legal, and marketing teams to ensure alignment and consistent messaging.
  • Ensure that communication strategies support overall business objectives and technological goals.
