About the Strategic Communications BranchThe Strategic Communications Branch is one of seven branches in the in the Portfolio Governance and Executive Services division. The branch consists ofapproximately 35 employees delivering the following functions: - communications strategy development, delivery and evaluation- marketing- media and issues management- corporate and internal communications- events and sponsorships- social media content production and management- creative, design and audio-visual production services- online content design and technical web services.
Your key responsibilities- Actively participate as a member of a multi-disciplinary team providing a wide range of communication services.- Provide communication advice to the department’s business areas and staff.- Assist with the development, implementation and evaluation of marketing and communication strategies.- Assist with the coordination of events, launches and presentations.- Oversee the production of a range of marketing materials, including digital delivery, ensuring the correct use of the department’s corporate identity.- Write, edit, and coordinate a wide variety of corporate material, such as website copy, publications and brochures and other promotional material, ensuringreadability, accuracy and compliance with the department’s communication protocols.- Contribute to the enhancement of the department’s Internet and Intranet sites.- Manage clients through the digital or graphic design process.- Collaborate with clients across the department.- Assist in all areas of policy compliance, such as report writing, evaluation of campaigns and other administrative issues as required.- Assist with the sourcing, collation, and editing of stories for all communication channels.
