Description:

KEY SKILLS

  • Ideally MRICS and Degree/Master’s Degree (2:1 minimum)
  • Computer literate, particularly Excel(with modelling ability), and Powerpoint
  • Comprehensive experience of residual appraisals using Argus Developer software and Excel
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to manage several projects at once, demonstrating strong organisational and prioritisation skills
  • A team player who builds relationships and consults with others, quickly establishing trust and credibility
  • Highly motivated, displaying energy, drive, curiosity, and commitment
  • Passion to deliver high standards of work and actively avoids complacency
  • Strong knowledge of the development process
  • A strong interest in mixed use development; large scale regeneration projects and placemaking
  • An understanding of the fundamentals that affect the deliverability of development projects
  • A knowledge of emerging global and sector trends i.e. ESG, mobility, design etc.

Responsibilities:

ROLE OVERVIEW

An opportunity for a bright, ambitious and qualified Senior Surveyor / Associate to join the London Strategic Development team. This is a successful and expanding team specialising in complex, large scale residential-led, mixed-use development sites across London.
We are seeking a candidate who is commercially astute, with either a transactional or advisory background. We require a diverse and practical skillset, that is adaptable to suit our clients’ needs.
The candidate must have a deep interest in regeneration and the wider benefits this brings, a solutions focused mindset, and be enthusiastic yet patient. The candidate must be interested in challenging projects with the ability to think long term, whilst retaining a focus on how to best to extract value for clients.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Supporting senior members of the team with the provision of consultancy advice advising on master planning and feasibility studies, to both private and public sector clients
  • Financial modelling. Creating bespoke models in Excel, running development appraisals and providing analysis – this is a skillset that we anticipate the candidate may evolve over time
  • Supporting senior members of the team with the provision of strategic advice on different forms of delivery structures
  • Point of contact for clients and ability to maintain regular day to day client contact
  • Liaise with requisite departments within Savills and external consultant team
  • Develop and maintain active communication both within the team and with other teams
  • Technical ability to liaise with other design team professionals e.g. architects, QS etc
  • Assisting with pitching to help win new business and agreeing the scope of instructions / fees
  • Research, analyse and present complex data
