Description:

As DB’s Strategic Finance Analyst, you’ll ensure accurate and timely financial information across our Business Support functions—Corporate Affairs, Legal, Finance, IT, People (HR), and Head Office—driving smart decision-making. You’ll lead the coordination of our Planning, Budgeting, and Forecasting cycles, and provide key analysis on strategic projects to shape the future of our business.

Key Accountabilities:

  • Manage monthly close processes and deliver timely, accurate financial reports, explaining variances and supporting cost management with department heads.
  • Ensure all budgets and forecasts are prepared according to business guidelines and timelines, with responsibility for uploading into SAP and Anaplan.
  • Partner with department heads, providing clear financial insights and support for their projects.
  • Deliver comprehensive business performance reports to the DB Leadership Team, Regional, and Global teams.
  • Support the Strategic Controller in coordinating planning, budgeting, and forecasting cycles, and provide financial analysis for strategic projects.
  • Conduct strategic modelling, analyse alternatives, and identify key trends to assist in strategy formulation.

Your background and experience:

  • Tertiary accounting qualification; Chartered Accountancy preferred.
  • Proven commercial finance experience with advanced Excel skills and strong commercial acumen.
  • Exceptional strategic analysis skills, with the ability to extract key insights from complex or incomplete data.
  • Strong communication, interpersonal, and influencing skills, with the ability to visually present data and tailor content for different audiences.
  • Ability to manage conflicting priorities, handle large volumes of data accurately, and deliver results in tight timeframes for critical decision-making.
  • Must have full-time work eligibility in NZ
