Responsibilities:
- Support HRBP Specialist in the delivery of HR services to leaders within the Atlantic Region operations, helping with planning the people aspects of business strategy, such as organizational capacity, capability, employee experience, and risk
- Support organizational change initiatives by assisting with adjustments to processes, teams, and structures, ensuring alignment with people goals and strategic objectives
- Provide input into business and people strategies, while observing HR data trends to identify potential impacts on strategy execution
- Track business performance, diagnose organizational challenges with leadership, and implement Cenovus People Plan to drive effectiveness and align with performance goals
- Support HR projects and initiatives by addressing gaps in organizational capacity, capability and employee experience, collaborating with COEs for the seamless execution
- Collaborate with HR and Workforce Planning teams to ensure accuracy, budget management and timely approvals for the workforce plan
- Collect feedback from clients regularly to ensure HR services, projects, and support align with the business area’s needs and goals
- Assist with organizational design, workforce planning, talent development and retention strategies, while supporting key HR programs like leadership development, performance management and compensation processes
- Support employee development through talent reviews, succession planning, and internal mobility movements, while collaborating with People Service Centre to ensure consistent delivery of HR services like recruitment and employee changes
- Support the Regional HR Advisory team with Atlantic Offshore Medical Services, Offshore Terms & Conditions and provide backup coverage for vacation leave, while serving as a member of the Regional Response Medical Team
- Provide advice and consultation to management and employees on performance and conduct
- Report and address employee concerns in accordance with Company policies
- Represent the business area’s needs in HR program development, offering input to COEs for fit-for-purpose programs and continuous improvement
