What you will do:
- Work with project documents and communicate with existing team members
- Manage quotations and projects related to water and wastewater facilities, including treatment plants, pumping stations, and reservoirs
- Simultaneously handle multiple projects, generating detailed scopes of materials specific to each project’s requirements
- Review work schedules and associated timelines for each project
- Analyze project specifications, plans, and details to identify potential issues
- Collaborate with the team to conduct a full project review before beginning takeoff
- Prepare RFIs for customers to address and resolve any issues or conflicts
- Perform detailed material takeoffs using Planswift Takeoff and Estimating software, marking and highlighting items accordingly
- Input required specifications, phases, systems, locations, and notes for each item taken off
- Review project data for accuracy before releasing materials for order and ensure all project addenda are updated
- Handle post-tender pricing requests, prepare quotes, and submit final documentation upon order confirmation
- Collaborate with other divisions within the company to gain additional expertise on project requirements
- Track and monitor quotes within the system and enter orders
What you will bring:
- 2-5 years of experience performing material takeoffs for industrial pipe, valves & fittings, plumbing materials, and HVAC
- Working knowledge of pipes, valves, fittings, and materials for the Waterworks industry, including DIP, steel, stainless, HDPE, PVC, and process valves
- Familiarity with construction documents, including plans, detail drawings, P&ID drawings, specifications, bid forms, and front-end documents, with a general understanding of project management and construction administration
- Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain a high level of accuracy
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously
- Solution-oriented mindset with a focus on customer satisfaction
- Competence in electronic file management on data servers
- Willingness to learn new technologies within the industry and operation
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, including Outlook, Word, and Excel
- Knowledge of Planswift Estimating software (preferred)
- Bilingual in English and French (asset)
