Position Overview
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Strategic Partnerships Account Manager to join our UK Global Wealth Management (GWM) team. In this role, you will be a client service professional responsible for developing and managing strategic relationships with key partners to drive business growth and enhance PIMCO’s market presence within the UK GWM channel. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in financial services, exceptional relationship management skills, and a proven track record of successful partnership development across the UK Wealth ecosystem.

The successful candidate will be responsible for growing PIMCO’s asset base in the wealth management and financial adviser markets within designated clients and prospects. It will be the role holder’s responsibility to drive and develop relationships with these companies and individuals in conjunction with the Head of UK Global Wealth Management & Head of UK Strategic Partnerships.

Requirements:

  • Promote the PIMCO full range of products to external clients through personal presentations and one to one client meetings. Clients will include nationals, networks, rating agencies, life companies, building societies and more
  • Work in partnership with marketing, PR, sales support, product specialists and portfolio managers to ensure comprehensive, consistent and impactful coverage of the target market
  • Maintain client records and establish longstanding on-going relationships with clients and prospective clients
  • Provide an exceptional client experience through a focus on client needs at all times in line with the Company’s TCF policy and be flexible when trying to meet and exceed client expectations

Desired candidates should possess the following characteristics:

  • Must possess a proven strong track record in wealth management and adviser sales, have excellent relationship management and presentation skills.
  • A deep knowledge of the UK market – including discretionary and adviser markets.
  • A good understanding of UK regulatory backdrop, capital markets and investment concepts.
  • Significant experience in a similar role is essential (a minimum of 7 years’ relevant experience is thought appropriate)
  • Strong work ethic – enjoys working at pace, self-motivated, happy to be given a high level of autonomy, be accountable for actions and able to operate in a team environment.
  • CFA / MBA qualification desirable, IMC / undergraduate degree minimum requirement
