About the department
The CEO Office, Investments at abrdn is dedicated to driving and monitoring strategic initiatives and projects within the CEO’s office. We focus on strategic planning, analysis, and ensuring effective communication and coordination across key stakeholders and departments. Our team supports senior management in making informed decisions that align with our business objectives and market trends.
About the role
The Strategic Planning and Delivery Manager will support the Head of CEO Office in driving and monitoring strategic initiatives and projects within the CEO’s office, Investments. This role involves strategic planning, analysis, monitoring delivery, and ensuring effective communication and coordination across key stakeholders and departments. The ideal candidate will possess strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills, and have a proven track record in enabling business strategy and dealing with senior stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist the Head of CEO Office in developing and implementing strategic plans, monitoring progress, analysing market trends, and preparing key documents like board and annual reports.
- Lead and manage key projects from inception to completion, ensuring timely delivery, quality standards, and facilitating cross-departmental collaboration.
- Support the CEO and Head of CEO Office in executive meetings, drafting and reviewing communications, presentations, and reports.
- Handle confidential and sensitive information with discretion.
- Conduct business analysis to provide decision-making insights, prepare comprehensive reports and presentations for the executive team, and track key performance indicators and business metrics.
About the candidate requirements
The successful candidate will bring experience in Strategy and Delivery and be able to demonstrate:
- Experience in the investment/asset management/banking industry.
- Proven experience in strategic planning, business management, or a similar role.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
