JOB DESCRIPTION
The Strategic Project Management Office (PMO) enables the realization of benefits to ADM, through the delivery of projects and/or programs that have been approved and classified as ‘high priority’ by the designated authority within ADM. The Strategic PMO is the regional center of expertise in project and program management at ADM, whereby through best practice and functional knowledge value is created through project delivery.
The APAC PMO Director acts as a Business Partner, capable to work effectively and efficiently with Regional President and other Regional and Local leaders.
You will oversee complex, interdisciplinary projects comprising experts from the business segments and the corporate functions. Director`s prime responsibility is to ensure that the project delivers to the agreed standard of quality and within the specified constraints of cost, time and benefit.
Your Responsibilities
- Act as a trusted strategic advisor, partnering with business executives as they approach you for support and/or advice
- Develop and implement new methodologies and best practices to support (the delivery of) ADM’s strategic objectives
- Manage all incoming requests for support for the APAC region and the process of allocating regional capabilities and capacity
- Develop a high performing project management team through focus on coaching and development and by creating an environment that promotes ownership, accountability, collaboration and growth
- Oversee and manage the regional portfolio of initiatives and the performance of the regional project management team on the initiatives that they lead
- Manage high-profile, business critical projects or programs with enterprise-wide reach and significant financial impact
- Accountable for managing the regional budget for APAC
- Manage external contractor contracts and performance for APAC where applicable
Your Profile
- A bachelor in Business Administration, Finance & Accounting, Engineering or a business related subject. A master degree, on top of aforementioned degree, is considered an advantage
- At least 5 years of professional project management experience with a proven track record of successful project delivery is a requirement. Relevant industry experience is an advantage
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively engage with diverse stakeholders at all levels of the organization; influential leadership style
- Demonstrated experience in driving business transformation is a requirement, whereby exposure to Lean, Six Sigma or similar methodologies is considered an advantage
- Exposure to M&A projects, particularly during due diligence, pre-closing and integration phases is considered an advantage
- The ability to think ‘outside the box’ and to work and communicate at a conceptual level as well as at a hands-on, practical level
- A PMP or PRINCE 2 certification or the willingness to obtain this certification is a requirement
- Fluent in English, more languages are an advantage considering the international nature of this role
- (International) business engagement and change management experience
- Good knowledge of MS Office
