This is an excellent opportunity for a procurement manager/category manager, ideally with a construction background, seeking career advancement at Mace. The role involves managing strategic relationships and agreements, engaging with internal stakeholders, and collaborating with Mace’s supply chain partners to support organisational goals.
You’ll be responsible for:
- Managing the MEP (mechanical, electrical, public health) category.
- Building and maintaining internal and external relationships.
- Providing category insights and market/risk reports.
- Conducting financial due diligence to support decision-making.
- Developing business cases.
- Reporting on subcontractor performance and managing improvements.
- Leading or supporting workstreams to achieve team goals.
- Negotiating and influencing pricing.
- Aligning the supply chain with Mace’s net zero carbon, construction to production, and material re-use strategies.
You’ll need to have:
- Desirable Experience: Procurement, supply chain management, account management, category management, stakeholder management
- Beneficial Experience: Construction
- Additional Experience: MEP (not essential)
- Skills: Negotiation, Communication, relationship management, commercial acumen, analytical skills (including data analysis)
- Qualifications: MCIPS qualified or willing to work towards
- Behavioural Competencies: Organised, pragmatic, effective communication, numerate, agile, eagerness to learn
- Attributes: Takes ownership and completes tasks, delivers on commitments, works to deadlines, enjoys teamwork, seeks to learn and share knowledge.
You’ll also have:
- IT/Software savvy.
- Potential to lead teams in future.
- Degree (or equivalent).
