Description:
POSITION OVERVIEW
Fidelity National Financial (FNF) is looking for a Strategic Project Analyst to join its Unclaimed Property department in our corporate office. The Unclaimed Property Group is responsible for submitting escheatment reports to all fifty states and three U.S. territories on behalf of all of Fidelity National Financials’ operations throughout the country in accordance with the State/Territory’s Unclaimed Property laws.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
- Bachelor’s Degree in a Business, Accounting or Finance or an equivalent combination of education and work experience.
- Requires 3 – 5+ years of relevant work experience.
- Ability to work extended hours during busy season(s).
PREFERRED EXPERIENCE
- Working knowledge of accounting flows and processes.
- Experience with FSITrack or other unclaimed property (up) software tools.
- Experience with business intelligence tools like Power BI and/or Tableau.
- Advanced Excel skills with the ability to do formulas, pivot tables, and VLOOKUPS.
- Strong project management skills with the ability to work on multiple, competing priorities.
- Excellent writing, communication, and research skills.

Responsibilities:
- Reviews unclaimed property (UP) compliance processes and makes recommendations for improvement.
- Recommends and develops efficiencies in the various UP processes by gaining a deep understanding of unclaimed property laws, workflows, requirements, and policies.
- Collaborates with business partners and leadership teams to plan strategies and policies related to management, controls, process impact and risk for escheatment administration.
- Assists in the identification and recommendation of enhancements to existing processes and key controls, along with executing corrective actions to mitigate risks.
- Utilizes various research tools (CCH and Lexis Nexis – Unclaimed Property) to research and document issues as assigned.
- Develops a thorough understanding of Unclaimed Property submissions, including all supporting documentation.
- Develops a thorough understanding and assists as needed in the review, analysis, and coordination of California and DSG refund requests and supporting documentation.
- Conducts preparation of regulatory filings in compliance with state unclaimed property laws.
- Contributes to the development and maintenance of policies and procedures.
- Builds and maintains strong relationships with internal and external customers.
- Contributes to a positive team attitude, including working closely with and training junior staff.
